And for you that don’t get the title, it’s all about a young TV American series that has ‘ruled’ the world. Especially when it comes down to the fashionistas.  And that’s why we are simply talking about a younger version of ‘Sex and the City’ where here also we have the stylist of Greek nationality that took care of the four ‘SATC’ girls’ styling success. Now though she is more as an advisor to her assistants that seem to be doing a perfect job.

Blake Lively has the main role, aka Serena Van Der Woodsen from the series. People from the fashion world have admired her, even Karl Lagerfeld (got the picture now?) and she is already characterized as a style icon.  In every episode we gasp at the sight of haute couture and style. And let’s not leave out that designers have found their muse in Blake, the young, tall, blonde girl with the blue eyes.  For whoever isn’t such a big fan of the series I ‘m telling you, in the fourth season, Blake expresses femininity more than ever.

A professional can easily identify the trends that the stylists and Blake, herself are trying to create through her image. And actually, to be correct, Blake is doing her styling alone since day one… she only has someone delivering the clothes. So, are you wondering what the trends are?

Haute Couture

Designers’ joy, since she can belaud every night dress with her tall legs, especially the dresses that show her legs through big side openings and lets not leave out her gorgeous décolleté. Maybe it’s a bit too much for us, but if in any case you want to dress up in haute couture then just copy her. And it’s not something like I say often; therefore there is a good reason to do so… with closed eyes.

Boyfriend’s blazers

Beloved trend, we have talked about in the past. Serena, almost never goes without her blazer. She combines them either with mini skirts, skinny jeans, high-waist trousers or men-like trousers. Thanks to Stella McCartney we saw blazers from another point of view, since she gave the town-chic American image, but here we also see them as a necessity in everyday dressing to night looks with sequins and lace. Blazers in a less casual version can be decorated with anything that might glow, like chains, sequins and strass. Dare it and love it, either with mini skirts and dresses or with men-like trousers for a more masculine look.

Mini Chic

She is maybe the first to spread this trend. We saw mini dresses, skirts and high-waist shorts to be worn in such a chic way with high-heels or boots.  Wear them with high-waist belts and boyfriend’s blazers to get the sexy image out.

Tights

At the last season, tights are at their best. There is not one shot where you will not find the actresses wearing colorful tights, with different shapes, out of lace or silk. And the truth is that a good pair of tights can give a totally different aesthetic to your outfit, as simple as it may be. Not to mention the result if you combine them with a mini skirt and a blazer as we discussed before.

Nicely ‘sloppy’ hair

A trend for many years now that we see in the fashion world. So, for a protagonist and style icon like Blake, she couldn’t not have as a main characteristic of her image, her hair. She plays it well with ‘broken’ straight hair, simple braids, and ponytails and for the night out she does the loose braids down the side.  Either as simple ponytails, that smoothly lies on the neck or loose braids, like a fishbone-tail. Her ever gorgeous looking nicely untidy hair balances her looks and express freshness. As for her make up, always discrete and therefore chic.

Any of the above styles that you’ll wish to follow, one is for sure: you will definitely grab all the attention, like she does. Professionals (stylists, makeup artists and hair dressers) behind her image have done their job well to give the next “it-girl” that we will love to watch and admire… and let’s admit it, to copy as well!
