September 14, 2011 at 2:10 pm. Filed under: Bridal Fashion

Dear newlyweds that tied the knot during summer, we are wishing you the best on your future life and we are hoping you followed at least one thing from what we wrote on the past. You are now anxious free from organising the perfect and all we hope you’ve got left is beautiful memories and lets all hope, amazing photos.

The rest of you that are on the queue of getting married this fall we need to congratulate you for choosing the best time of the year to get married. The least fortunate that live in places were rain pours in September cross your fingers and hope for a rain free ceremony. The rest lets enjoy this gorgeous sweat-free weddings. First of all this time of the year is considered off season so if your wedding requires your guest to relocate and/or spend the night away you did them a huge favour because travel and accommodation is way cheaper now than few months ago. Plus you also did yourself a huge favour because there isn’t anything worse than a sweaty bride in sweaty pictures.

This post will not be about wedding dresses or dresses in general, nor shoes and wedding accessories mainly because winter is still far far away and in terms of summer trends in weddings we’ve been through them many times in the past. Before I get to the subject, I want to take a second and share with you the best summer wedding that happened in 2011, that of DJ Mark Ronson and his now wife French model wearing a wedding gown designed from her personal friend . There is only one word to describe the happy couple and that is: no-comments!! The pair looked absolutely perfect in their vintage like choice of clothes and wedding theme and we wish them the best of happiness.

The happy groom wearing a candy stripe suit, a bit extreme choice for the average groom, but who knows right?!

And that was the best example of summer celebrity weddings. Now back to what I was about to say, which was wedding invitations out of the ordinary. Many might think that wedding invitations should not be something different or exciting and so they prefer the standard typeface, papers and coordinating envelops and glittery fond. Well that’s nice if you want your marriage to be average and not remembered. If you wish to do something out of the box, take a look ahead and remember: you still have time to cancel your invitations and hire a graphic designer friend to make the most outstanding invitations ever!

New age wedding invitations ought to look like this…

Fresh, modern, personalised and completely away from the matching paper-envelope idea that ends up to usual weddings.

Finally, if you want to go that extra mile regarding your invitations, you might choose not to have invitations at all and create your personal wedding webpage and/or blog. A fantastic idea to make your guests part of your wedding and interact with them every step of the way. You can build it from scratch choosing exactly how you want it to look like, upload pictures and favourite songs and try to create a virtual idea of what your actual marriage will be in due time. You can visit experts on designing wedding websites such as www.weddingjojo.com, or you can create your own blog starting now!

Whatever you end up doing never forget that the day of your wedding is a day that everyone, including you, should be happy and relaxed. Enjoy!
