Casa Camper in Berlin: the gates are open!

The second Casa Camper hotel, a 7 stores building designed by Fernando Amat and Jordi Tiorecently, recently opened it’s gates in the heart of Berlin, between the bars and avant-garde galleries of Mitte. Just like the first Camper hotel, that opened in 2005 in El Raval, Barcelona, it stands out for the unique design that Camper is known for, a brand that is synonymous with quality, simplicity and eco-friendly policy.

The grey, monotonous front of the building transforms at night when it lights up, as the numbers of the rooms are printed on the bathroom curtains!

The 51 rooms and suites are decorated in a minimal way with sophisticated details, but what makes them really special is the huge windows in the bathrooms that fill the whole room with light and allow you to take a bath while you enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of Berlin. Throughout your stay you will enjoy discovering the design touches like the Bauhaus switches, the Eames chairs, the cute hangers in the rooms and the humorous sign “Take the stairs, It’s Healthier” in the elevator, that make this hotel truly original.

On the ground floor next to the reception you will find the Dos Palillos restaurant, designed byRonan & Erwan Bouroullec. The urban aesthetic is highlighted by the big white bar that dominates the room. That way you can enjoy your food and admire the creative process in the kitchen, run by the chef Albert Raurich.

On the terrace, on the 8th floor there is the snack bar «Tentempie» that is open 24/7 only for the hotel guests, offering them a panoramic view of the city, tasty snacks and cocktails, for free!

What won us over about Casa Camper is that the central door of the hotel opens with your hotel room, and mostly that the hotel in an eco-friendly gesture offers bicycles to the guests for their transportation around the city.
