DIY tutorial: Christmas Tree from Scrap
Rdeco suggests, ermoumag helps you | Rdeco | Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 at 09:29I know you are here waiting for the DIY I announced last week. Ok, I am trying to keep my schedule but there are times that … I want to rephrase the quote saying: “When humans make plans, God is laughing”. I believe the same thing happens when I make plans; DIY is giving me an extra dose of surprise. Because none of us the deco bloggers could ever think what somebody may invent by his own hands with every day scrap. So this happened this week and I want to share it with you. My friend Tina from the Etsy Greek Street Team creates handmade jewelery and she is known as “the princess next door. In her craft blog that she named: “A few pretty things” she shows us how she made a Christmas tree absolutely from scrap woods and thrifted pencils. So I will explain a little bit the DIY Christmas tree and then you may take a walk from her post to see every detail. Quite nice DIY Tina, I really enjoyed this so much that I started to search around the house for old broom’s handles and pencils.

So suppose that you have -well she had in her “i will use some day” closet- a piece of wood about 70cm. long and a small rectangular one. She made 0.7cm holes, in 5cm distance between them. Afterwards she painted two coat of white both the woods. Oh! Not to forget that she made another hole on the rectangular wood with a diameter that fits the long wood. What’s next? Fit the one wood on the other probably with some glue and then fill with pencils she had for years. Absolutely fabulous. I think you’re going to love it!

Here is the tree, ready to put ornaments on.

And here is the tree full of ornaments. Ok, Tina makes accessories and she decided to show them on the tree. Earrings and more. Well I loved these ornaments Tina, are they really earrings? So the idea keep going better if we think that we may also have some of these cuties to hang on our Christmas tree. So long for next Wednesday and don’t forget to bring your empty jars. I hope that we will stick on the schedule! Have fun!

Εύα ευχαριστώ πολύ, μου φτιαξες τη μέρα! Τα στολίδια είναι στολίδια όχι σκουλαρίκια, από τα χεράκια μου κι αυτά.
you’re welcome Tina. It was really a nice diy. Και ακόμα καλύτερα που είναι στολίδια. Ευκαιρία για shopping.
yperoxo!!!!!!!!!
