Evangelina Kavroulaki winner of New Designer Award

AXDW New Designer Award 2009

During the third day of AXDW there were presented catwalk shows mostly from New Designers. Among them, we saw Evangelina Kavroulaki who was awarded with the New Designer and Best Trendsetter awards later on yesterday’s night! The fashion crowd is familiar with Evangelina’s name as last year she was one the two designers of DUVO designers team, that has won the  “Best Trendsetter” Award in New Designers Award in the 5^th Athens Xclusive Designers Week.

Few words about Evangelina Kavroulaki

Following her studies in Fashion Design, Evangelina has worked as a Theatre Consumist, a Sales Manager in major  brand stores in Rome as well as a Stylist and Designer for fashion companies. (as mentioned at the official AXDW site)

Ethnic 80′s

This year, Evangelina presented her own line “Ethnic 80′s”, a line that was all about the safari style. Jumpsuits and long dresses were in the first place of interest!

The “New Designers Award” competition

Evangelina Kavroulaki participated for one more time this year at the “New Designers Award” competition and at the end of the night, she went home holding 2 awards! The  “Best Trendsetter” award was given to her by Young magazine’s head editor and  gives the chance to Evangelina to be featured in an article inside the pages of Young magazine.The second award of the evening, and the most important one, was the “New Designer” award that gives the chance to Evangelina to present her own line also at next year’s AXDW
