British Fashion Awards 2008

Every year British Fashion Awards goes to well known and new generation designers that live and work in England. Last years the award of the designer of the year has gone to Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon, Christopher Bailey (Burbury Porsum) and the new generation designer award to Christopher Kane, Marios Schwab, Duro Olowu.

The designer of the year for 2008 is Luella Bartley’s label, Luella. She made her catwalk debut in 2000, a year later she started showing her collections in New York. She returned to London Fashion Week in 2007, where she has been showing since.

The new generation designer award for 2008 went to Louise Goldin who first showed in London Fashion Week after her graduate show to Central St Martins in 2005.
